Every senior has a story worth telling—and I specialize in capturing it with intention, artistry, and a distinctive touch. Because Senior Portrait Photography is my passion and focus, I’m frequently attending industry conferences and training to learn new techniques and stay up to date with trends that truly resonate with today’s seniors. With years of experience and a refined creative approach, I work closely with each senior and their parents to design a session that feels personal, elevated, and geared to showcase their unique personality and spirit.
From location to styling to the final edit, every detail is carefully considered to create images that not only stand out, but truly speak. I've had many clients try something from my wardrobe for just a few images, and they end up loving those the most! If you want something quick for a different look, or even if you don't want to have to buy a new outfit to use for just a few hours, my Client Style wardrobe is PERFECT for you! Ask me more about it!

Prints, wall art, albums and digital files are sold separately at your viewing and ordering appointment, held a few weeks after your session, and you choose only the images you LOVE! All sessions include a print/product credit so you can choose what YOU want! You'll also receive a complimentary low-resolution digital file of your selected yearbook photo and that image will be sent to the school upon request. No minimum purchase! Because we know you'll want to share your images online, we also include a complimentary social media sized digital copy of every purchased image!

Speedy Senior Session
The Speedy Senior Session is short and basic, perfect for those seniors who aren't really into a longer session, but still need a few good images for the yearbook and graduation invitations.

The Traditional Senior Session
The Traditional Senior Session is great for those who want a few different locations, variety with outfits, and some amazing images that show their individual spirit!
- $550 Creative Fee, $350 print/product/digital credit
- Up to 90 minutes of shooting time
- Up to 3 locations in or around Cottage Grove, Monona or the east side of Madison
- Multiple outfits

- $1100 Creative Fee, $800 print/product/digital credit
- Special outfit and location planning session, if desired

- As many locations as you want to tackle! (main location up to 30 minutes/miles away)

The Senior Experience PLUS!
The Senior Experience PLUS! Everything in the Senior Experience, PLUS an extra session to showcase a sport, hobby, look or new location!
- $2700 Creative Fee, $2700 print/product/digital credit: ALL of your Creative Fee is a credit toward your purchase!
- Special outfit and location planning session, if desired
- Up to 3 hours of shooting time for the main session
- Additional 90 minute session, perfect for a sports shoot or other themed shoot, night shoot, new hairstyle or different season! Lots of seniors love this option for the opportunity to do something totally different!

The ULTIMATE Senior Experience! Let's Travel! Do you want images completely different than anyone has? This is the ULTIMATE in Senior Portrait Sessions, because we're TRAVELING!
- $3850 Creative Fee, $3250 print/product/digital credit
- Special outfit and location planning session
- Location(s) up to 350 miles away!
- Curated shoots for epic images
- Multiple locations over two days
- Special effects: gelled (colored) lights, smoke, bubbles...let's be creative!
- As many smaller stops/locations as you want to tackle!
- Mini video option!
- Multiple outfits, plus special pieces from my client wardrobe to enhance your own pieces!

Optional Traditional Senior Session Add-Ons:
- Ask about Boomerang Sessions! Boomerangs are great for those seniors with a lot of interests who want to capture ALL of the moments of that special senior year!

How Will Your PTP Senior Session Work?
- I generally meet with seniors and their parents before scheduling a session, so we can talk about what you want from your session and you can see samples of past images that I've created. I want to make sure that we're all comfortable with each other, because that's imperative to you having an amazing senior session!
- After that, when you decide you want to book, we'll schedule a day for your session (with a rain date, if necessary, for bad weather). We'll figure out one or more great locations, depending on the types of images you want.
- Depending on the type of look you want, we'll figure out the best time of day for your session. I use lighting equipment to enhance the natural light, so we're not strictly dependent on Mother Nature. Artificial lighting can also give us the opportunity to create some stunning images that just aren't possible with only natural light. We'll work together to figure out multiple outfits and also ways to include any important props or sports gear for different looks (I have a changing tent if you need it!).
- After your session, I will lightly edit all of your images for optimal color and cropping. I also provide custom artistic edits on a few images to show you the potential of what your images can be! Because I provide all of my senior clients with a LOT of images to choose from, this editing will take a few weeks to get your images looking their best.
- When the images are ready, we'll meet so you can view your images and select those that you want for your wall art and your album and gift prints, as well as selecting your yearbook photo. Unlike other photographers, I show you ALL usable images rather than me choosing a limited number of images, because I think it's important that you see everything. I know from experience that you may see that intangible "something" in a smile or an expression that I could never notice myself! For a Senior Experience session, you can expect anywhere between 80 and 150 images in your preliminary gallery. Gift prints, wall art, albums and digital files are sold separately, but you select ONLY the images that you love. After that, you'll also have an online gallery of all of your selected images available to share with friends and family for a limited time after your ordering appointment.
- As a BONUS for my Seniors who are involved in extracurricular activities like sports, music, drama or dance, I always make an effort to cover one of their meets, games or performances. I think it's important to document those activities that are important to them, so I love providing this added service for all of my seniors, free of charge!

The Fine Print:
A non-refundable $200 retainer is due upon booking to reserve your session date. Retainer will be applied to Creative Fee. If heavy rain or severe weather is predicted for your date, we'll reschedule to make sure we can have a spectacular session. The Creative Fee includes: pre-shoot consultation, photographer's time during session, preparation of images for presentation, one or more custom Signature Edits exclusive to Peg Thompson PhotoArt (Senior Experience sessions only), one ordering session, full retouching of selected images, and print credit to be used at your ordering session. Also, exclusive to Peg Thompson PhotoArt, we will make every effort to provide complimentary coverage of one local extracurricular event that our seniors participate in during their senior year, because we believe that those memories are meant to be captured and preserved too! Prints and products are sold separately; you choose only the images that you like the best and only the print sizes or products that you want! A La Carte Wall art begins at $210 and A La Carte albums begin at $875. Mounted Gift Prints are as low as $30. Discounts and bonus items are available when you select multiple items to create your own collection. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards.
